Princeville Ranch is one of the oldest working cattle ranches in Hawaii with spectacular views of Kauai's mountains and offering diverse terrain that includes pastures, rainforest, and jungle. This really is a working cattle ranch that raises their own calves, and you'll likely encounter their herd along the way. Their horses are very well trained and respond well to rider instruction. Princeville Ranch Stables encourages you to take the horses off the trail and spread out so that you get more than just a nose to tail experience, which is something that we really appreciate.

3 Hour Waterfall Tour - Take a memorable journey across their ranch and visit a spectacular waterfall for a picnic and swim. This 3 hour tour is a walking-paced ride, but you are free to take the horses off the trail. The 3 hour ride is available as a PRIVATE ride for a higher rate. NOTE: This tour also involves a short but steep hike to the waterfall. 3 hour waterfall tour: $135 per person.

3 Hour Private Waterfall Ride - The same tour as the 3 hour waterfall tour, but operated as a private ride for just your group. Private tours may have a faster riding pace than the general tours; the trail guide will assess rider abilities and set an approriate pace for your group's abilities. NOTE: This tour also involves a short but steep hike to the waterfall. 3 hour Private waterfall ride: $245 per person.

2 Hour Private Ride - The same riding experience as the 3 hour private tour, but without the hike to the waterfall and lunch. Minimum of 2 riders for private rides. 2 hour private ride $175 per person

Scenic Valley Beach Ride - The most popular and shortest ride takes you through the ancient Mahaulepu area now popular with beachcombers, windsurfers, and local fisherman. Experience a variety of scenery and terrain as you travel across ranchland, a sand bar and stream, past beaches and bays, and underneath tall shady ironwood trees. Refreshments are provided. This ride is offered every day except Sunday. The ride begins at either 9:30am or 2:00pm and is approximately 2 hours long. $103 per rider

Secret Beach Picnic Ride - This ride includes the best from the Scenic Valley ride plus an hour at the beach where you'll enjoy a custom made deli lunch with chips, fruit, and refreshments.. This ride is only offered on Wednesdays and Fridays. The ride begins at 1:00pm; the time on horseback is approximately 2 hours and the event lasts 3 hours. $130 per rider

A credit card number is required to guarantee a reservation with Princeville Ranch Stables and CJM Stables but they do not charge you at the time of your order. A 20% deposit for Princeville and a 15% deposit for CJM is collected by Adventureinhawaii.com / Adventuremaui.com five days prior to your departure for Hawaii. The balance is paid at the time of check-in on the day of your ride. Princeville Ranch Stables does not accept American Express (Visa & Mastercard only).  CJM Stables takes Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. CJM Stables charges a 4% credit card processing fee if you pay the balance at check-in on your credit card. Princeville Ranch Stables does not charge extra for credit card charges.

ACTIVITY TIPS

If you are looking for a ride to a waterfall, Princeville Ranch is the one! Even if you are staying on the South Shore of Kauai this ride is very much worth the drive to the North Shore. The waterfall ride does include a short but steep hike down a trail to get to the stream where you enjoy a picnic lunch. This is an amazing waterfall spot! We also appreciate that Princeville Ranch encourages everyone to spread out so that you aren't always in a line on the ride.

If you prefer a beach-oriented ride with ocean views, CJM is the one for you. They ride to a remote beach that you won't be able to see any other way. They are located at the very end of the Poipu Beach area a few miles beyond the Hyatt. . 

Kauai Horseback Riding Reservations

Upon submitting your activity reservation for processing, we will make reservations for you and send an e-mail confirming all of the details. These confirmations are often sent a few minutes after your reservation, but some activities take longer to confirm than others. You will receive an e-mail confirmation by the end of the next business day at the latest. There are no tickets that you need to pick up prior to your event. Your e-mail confirmation will have all the details you need to check in and enjoy your selected activity. This saves you precious time when you arrive in Hawaii. 

Please be sure that you have typed your email address perfectly; an incorrect address will prevent you from getting your confirmation details, and we will have no way of knowing that you never received your confirmation. We cannot be responsible for errors that clients make which causes them to miss their tour. If you do not see your email confirmation within 24 hours please call us right away to check on the status of your order.

A credit card is required to guarantee payment for your reservations, but the activities on this page ARE NOT CHARGED when your order is placed. These activities are operated by vendors who charge you at the time of check-in for your activity. Adventureinhawaii.com will provide this vendor with your billing information so that your space is reserved. Even though your credit card is not charged in advance, it is import to realize that you are making a confirmed reservation. No-shows will be charged in full by the activity provider on the credit card used to secure the reservation .

After making reservations, you may reschedule or cancel your activity up until 48 hours prior to its start (a few activities have 72 hour cancellation policies ... see your confirmation e-mail for details). Within 48 hours of the start of your activity all reservations are final and non-refundable (unless the event is cancelled by the vendor due to weather or other factors ... in which case you are refunded in full). Due to our incredible climate here, weather cancellations are rare.  No-shows and cancellations without adequate notice are charged in full on the credit card used to secure the reservation and are non-refundable.
